Waipawa Court Sitting.

A sitting of the Waipawa Magistrate's Court was held on Eriday morning before Mr. J. Miller, S.M. Joe Ngatoro, for being found oji licensed premises, was convicted und fined £1 10/- with costs 15/-. Charged by Traffic Jnppector J. H. lt, Semple with, dangerous driving, E'rnest George Dowrick was convicted and fined £2 with costs 10/-. He was represented by Mr. C. G. E. Harker, who entered a -plea ot guiltyr. Tlie evidence showed that the offence had occurred on Scptomber 15, the day of the Itugby matcli between South Africa and Hawke's Bay at Napier. Defendant had pulled out of the line of traffic and travelled on the wrong side of tlje road until he saw a gap in the traffic. The following judgments were entered: — W. J. Yardley A. Smith, £27 8/-, costs £1 9/G; Bryant and Co. v. S. W. Smitli, £1 2/2, costs £1 12/0 ; Bryant and Co. v. A. Logan, £4 9/2, costs £1 15/G; 1. A. Strang v. R. L lreland, £22 13/-, costs £1 3rG.
