Card Party and Dance.

The Home and School League entertained about 40 card enthusiasts and a number of dancers in the Waipukurau School on Eriday evening. Mrs E. Tinney (144 games) headed the euchre players in the ladies' section, with Mrs T. Thomson (14) second. Mr Tony (144) and Mr Pratt (14) were top scorers among the men. Three players had been equal for second place in the ladies section, but Mesdames J. McCarthy and 11. Urquhart were unsuccessful in the cut. A competition was won by Mr Nottage. Dance music was provided by Mr R. Neill and his piano-accor-deon.
