FAREWELL PARTY FOR MISS ISABEL MITCHELL

A very happy farewell party was given by Mrs B. Paul, King street, Hastings, for Miss Isabel Mitchell wlio is leaving the district. The drawingroom, where the guests were entertained with music and recitations by Mrs A. Turner and the Misses J. Cusbing and I. Mitchell, was decorated with bowls of ranunculas and iceland poppi.es. Competitions were won by Mesdames II. Campbell, I. Morley, J. Hudson, and the Misses I. Mitchell and J. Morley, and during the afternoon a dainty afternoon tea was enjoyed by everyone. The hostess wore a gown of navy blue fioral silk relieved with beige and the guesfc of honour wore a model tunic en'semble of blatk and white crepe-de-chine with a black hai She was presented with a posy of freesias, and an autograph bearing the names of all tho guests. The invited guests were: Mesdames J. Hudson, Curling, H. Hickmott, I. Morley, T.*Fowler, A. Turner, Baudinct (Wellington), G. Sutherland, R. Sutherland (Blenheim), H. Gigg, T. J. Thompson, R. Campbell, Olsen, A. Gardiner (Dunedin), Paterson, Murtagh, W. Harper, H. Baumgart; Misses I. Mitchell, E. McNutt, D. Lang, J. Curling, P. Turner, Ol'sen, G. Campbell, D. Fowler, J. Morley.
