TROUBLE WITH OIL GAUGE
Forced Landing at Winton (Eeceived 15, 12.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 15. Misg eJan Batten was forced to land at Winton because her oil gauge had t'ailed to function. About an hour earlior she passed over Winton aerodrome at tiie very fast speed, travelling north, but when about 100 miles from Winton she noticed that the gauge was not working, so she turned back. She intends to leave Winton this morning for Camooweal, cutting out Cloncurry, laad fly on. ia Darwl^ v.i
