Another full penning of poultry, which sold to an uusatisfied demand, came forward at Gordon Walker Ltd.'s weekly market sale. The market could easily absorb double the quantity on
offer at top rates. The reserve pens were necessary to cope with the entry of pigs, which sold readily at late values. Porkers and baconers continue to sell in excess of sehedule ?ates. Dairy stock was easier; but all sundries realised their full value, and fruit and produce sold readily at vendors' prices. Prices realised were as follows: — Poultry: Table birds 3/1 to 11/6, W.L. hens 3/6 to 4/3, and 3/i to 3/8, W.L. cockerels 3/- to 4/8, and 2/5 to 3/2, B.O. hens 3/5 to 5/3, B.O. cockerels 4/- to 6/6 and 3/2 to 4/3, others, | hens to 3/9, cockerels to 4/1, day-old mixed cliieks M to lld, eliiek cockerels 7d to 1/1, and 2d to 9d, turkeys 9/6 to 11/6, ducks 7/6 to 9/4 per pair. Pigs: Weaners 18/- to £1 6/6, and 10/- to 17/6, slips 17/- to £1 9/6, stores £1 to £1 11/-, light porkers £1 9/- to £1 16/-, porkers £1 12/6 to £2 2/-, keavy porkers £2 to £3 5/-, baconers to £4, choppers to £3 2/-, sows to £5 (with litter). Dairy stock: Cows £2 to £5, heifers £4 5/-. Sundries: Cattle dog £l 10/-, cycles £1 to £3 2/6, cream cooler £1 2/-, lawnmowers 10/6 to £2 5/-, garden hose 15/-, two separators at £5, tent 10/-, table potatoes 8/- to 16/6, seed potatoes 6/- to 14/-, corrugated iron 3/- to 3/5 per sheet, two rolls wirenetting at 12/6, pig potatoes 1/6 to 3/3, hedge shears 5/6, crosscut saw 5/-, emerv stone 7/6, scvthes 3/6 aud 4/-, aud sundry lots at J/- to 3/-.
