Bright Prospects For Season The annual general meeting of the Parkvale Lawn Tennis CXub was lield in the Ghamber of Commerce rooms, Mr A. G. Jenkins. presiding over a good attendance of members and intending members. The secrotary produced a very satisfactory balance-sheet for the past season' s activities. The election of the ofiicers for the 1937-38 season resulted as follotvs : — Presidentj Mr A. Giorgi; vice-president Mr D. H. Netvbigin; secretary, Mr W. P. Bfayesj treasurer, Mr P. H. Crawford; committee, Mrs Aldridge and Miss M. Wyatt, Messrs A. G. Jenkins (chairman), L. Palmer, F. Liley, W. Hodgkinson, A. Lomas, The annual subscription was lixed as the same as last year. It was decided to obtain the use of of the Golf Club pavilion again, and to instal some system of lighting and heating therein. The chairman advised that the Sylvan road entrance to Windsor Park was being iniproved and beautified by the Borough Council, in addition to the creek being piped in. and this should lend inducement to prospective players. Prospects ior an even better season 'this year, particularly in regard to the number of members. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to th^ outgoing committee, and to the 6h«hrA
