Opposition ta any move for a Government subsidy to assist in electrical reticulation in sparsely-populat-ed areas was expressed in tke report of a special committee to tke secretaries' branck of tke New Zealand Electric Power Boards' and Supply Authorities' Association in conferenee at Wellington to-day. . Tke conferenee was sharply divided on tke question, which was referred without any xecommendation to tke main conferenee on Thursday.
