Two Hawke's Bay Candidates Chosen

WELLINGTON, This Day. The following candidates have been selected for short-service commissions in the Royal Air Eorce, and leave for England on December 1. Messrs. A. S. Dioi (Christchurch), F, E. Eustace (Wellington), J. D. Former (Trentham), A. Frame (Oamaru), C. R. Erankish (Wanganui), W. B. Grieves, C. L. R. Heywood, R. H. Laud, G. W. Button, E. Y. Wendel (Auckland), B. L. G. Harker (Wairoa), and A. G, Luxmore (Feilding). The following have been selected for short-service commissions in the R.A.F. and R.N.Z.A.F., and undergo eight months' preliminary training in New Zeaiand. Eight will then be sent to England, and four will be retained for the R.N.Z.A.F.: — Messrs. W. F. Dawson (Balclutha), T. M. Delange, W. S. Rea, P. D. Smith (Auckland), R. W; Gair (Napier), T. F. Gill, S. G. Quill (Wellington), L. H. Higgins, L. G. Lilly (Dunedin), B. I. C. Jones (Eltham), R. D. Max (Nelson), J. D. Murphy (Riverleo).
