WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The monthly meeting of the Waipukurau branch of the Plunket Society was held this afternoon in the Plunket oroms. In the absence of Mrs J. D. Ormond, Mrs E. JJroad iireeided^ the followiug members being prosent:'Mesdames 1. W. N. Mackie, H. Hooper, B. J. McCormickj J. L. Braithwaito, ij. Boys, L. S. F. Bell, 'G. E. Gideon, and the acting secretary, Mrs J. H. Walker. A vote of sympathy was extended to Mrs F. R. McWilliams in her recent bereavement. Mrs J. D. Ormond was appointed to sign cheques in place of Mrs Moore, who wished to be relieved. It was proposed that a letter of appreciation bo sent to Mrs Moore^ with wishes for her husband's speedy recovery from his illness. Remits for the annuul confetence to be held in Wellington next month wero discussed and Mrs J. D. Ormond and Miss A. Hobson were appointed delegates to the conference. Mrs B, Boys was appointed visitor to the rooms for the eneuing month, and Mrs J. L. Braithwaite offered to take the Plunket nurse to Porangahau on her next visit. The Plunket nurse submitted the fol* lowing report for the month: — Visits to rooms: Waipuukurau, adults 127, babies 100, total 267; Takapau, adults 57, babies 55, children 10, total 122; Porangahau, adults 7, babies 4 total 12. Visits to homes: Waipukurau 44, Takapau 7, Porangahau 13. New cases: Waipukurau 5, Takapau 4, Porangahau 1, Argyle 1. Cases under care: Waipukurau 200, Takapau 62, Porangahau 24. Karilac sold; 11. Karioi and Karil: 13. A donatjon from Mns J. Canning was received with thanks.
