Rotorua Angling Prospects.

As the result of a drop of about 4in. in the level of Lake Rotorua compared with the level of two years ago, it is expected that several of the best flyfishing areas, whichi during the past two years have been inaccessible owing to the encroachment of the water, will again be available for the coming season. The prospects for the season seem particularly bright, as many large fisli have been seen in all parts of the district, while the warm spring weather haB considerably assisted the Department of Internal Affairs in its annual stocking operations. Since the hatchr ing season coinmenced, over 2,000,000 fry liave been taken out of the Ngongotaha liatchery, and regular liberations havo been made in the Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, Taupo and Waikaremoana waters for some months
