PIPE-BAND CENTRE
Annual Meeting in Wellington The annual meeting of the Welling-ton-Haivke's Bay Pipe Band Centre was held at Wellington on Saturday evening. The president, Pipe-Major T. G. Boddiug, presided over.a large and representative attendance. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: — President, PipeMajor V. J. Nicholsou; senior vice-presi-dent, Pipe-Major B. Peters; junior vicepresident, Mr J. W. Brown; secretarytreasurer, Mr Gray Nasmith; executive, Pipe-Major C. Stewart, Pipe-Major T. G. Bodding, Drum-Major M. R. Price, Mr I. D-,Cameron, Mr W. Allan and Mr C. Stewart. The Wairarapa Scottish Pipe Band, stationed at Carterton, intimated that it was at present being formed, and asked for particulars of affiliation and other matters. The secretary said he had furnished the information andxexpected the band soon to affiliate. The Port Ahuriri Pipe Band had intimated its . intention of joining, and m all likelihood the Police Pipe Band would affiliate. A vote of thanks to the outgolng officers terminated the meeting.
