H.B. HOSPITAL BOARD
General Business of Meeting The monthly meeting of the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board was held yesterday afternoon. Present : Messrs C. Lassen (chairman), A. E. Bedford, S. J. McKee, H. V. Hoadley, J. B, Campbell, R. Harding, R. W. Wallace, C. 0. Morse. Rev. R. B. Gosnell, Dr. H. M. Wilson. Dr. J. J. Foley, medical superintendent, was also present. On the recommendation of -the Finance committee, an appeal for a subscription from the New Zealand Five Million Club was declined. Applications for the position of Masseuse at the Memorial Hospital, Hastings, were referred to the medical superintendent and the Hastings honirary staff for recommendation to the board. The question of appointing a full;ime theatre porter at the Napier Hosjital was reterred to the medical suj> irintendent to confer with the house nanager. Efforts are to be made by the board ;o secure another visit from Dr. Rolertson, orthapaedic specialist, of Welington, to advise on the progress and urther treatment of infantile paralyiis. Dr. J. J. Foley, medical superintendent, explained that the patients n 'hospital were making good progress. )ut a further visit by Dr. Llobertson vas advisabie so as to enable a checklp to be made. The Director-GeneraJ of Health, Dr. d. H. Watt, advised that the Cook iospital Board had forwarded a suggestion that the hospitaJ boards in the iast Coast area should co-operate ui tbtaming such a visit. Alembers agreed that such a visit vculd bp advisabie, and expressed their eadiness to co-operate as requested
