DANCE AT PAKOWHAI

Last Thursday evening one of a 1 series of fortnightly dances was held in the Pakowhai Church Hall, the proceeds of this dance being in aid of the school fuiids. The hall was taxed to i its utmost, the music being supplied by McKay's orchestra. A bountiful sup- i per was handed round by a band of willing helpers. During the evening Miss McKay and 1 Mr. McKay played as ait extra a duet ! on tho piitno. Mr. Britten played on 1 {ihe accoi'dion ior several dances. j The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Joyce Pedersen and Mr. McCann. Mr. W. Whittington acted as M.C.„ and thanked everyone for helping the school by attending the dance.
