CHINA INVINCIBLE

German General Staff's • Opinion JAPAN WILL NEVER CONQUER (Received 11, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 10. _ Japan can never conquer China. This is the eonsidered verdict of the German General StafE in an announeement in the semi-official organ Deutscho Weber. The newspaper says: — "The Japanese may invade China in many plaees, score victory after victory, and forcibly annex whole provinces, but there still remains tho immeuse hullc of the Chinese Empire, wliich is invineible and abundantly peopled. " Hencef orward the full and implacable hatred of China will be eoncentrated against Japan." It is noted that the German General Staff is better informed than any other about the efficiency of Marshal Chiang Kai-shek 's army, which many German advisers helped to form.
