ELSTHORPE, Last Night. The annual ball to raise funds foi the Plnnket Society was held in thc Elsthorpe Hall on Friday evening. Thc hall was very tastefully deeorated foi tho occasion and the large attendancc present had an enjoyable time. Musio was supplied by Les Henryh orchestra, while Messr§ p. Hayden and N. McGaffin were capable M.C.'s. An* energeti© band of latHes undei the direction of Mrs. J. Macaulay -provided a very dainty supper. Duriug the evening Mr. T. Priest tliankec patrons for their support, and mentionad that the society would benefit tc the extent of £12. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss E, Lisette and partner, and the spot waltj by Miss Stafford and partner. Thc cpmpetitions resulted: Cake, Mr. Hector Smith; kettle, Mr. Hogan (Hastings); socks, etc., Mrs. T. Priest. t
