ASHLEY CLINTON GATHERING

The monthly meeting of the Ashley Clinton Women 's Institute , took , place last Thursday. / It took the form of a biilb show, there being a colourful display of wonderful blooms. A charming demonstration wais given on wood-fibre work. The demonstrators, Mrs Schwabe and Mrs McHay, of Norsewood were given a hearty vote • of ' thanks. The bulbs were judged by Mrs H Thomsen, who also gave " appreciated hints to growers. Mrs Thomsen was, accqrded a very hearty vote of thanks. The results of the flower- ' competitions were: — Best cdUection of brilbs: Mrs C1 Thomsen 1, Mrs Walden 2. Best arranged bulbs: Mrs Waldin 1,. Mrs Britton 2. Points prize for champion bulbs: -Miss Dampney." A.'delightfql. afternoon tea was then served, hosteslses for the day - being Mesdames Burgess and Dampney.
