NEW MONSTER BOMBER
U.S. Plans Plane to Cost Million Dollars (Received 9, 10.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 8. The Washington correspondent of the New York Times says that three leading designers have been working for several months preparing secret plans for a bomber superiQr to any in the world. Its weigbt will be between 50 and 60 tons, and its cruising range 8000 miles. It has four engines, each developing 1500 horsepower, and a wingspan of 17(5 feet. The machine will cost 1,000,000 dollars, and the Navy Department has allocated 250,000 dollars for preliminary work.
