Miss Tolhurst Weak In Approach Shots EVENTFUL FIFTH HOLE 'A Iead of four was established by Mrs. G. Hollis, of Hawera, at the end of the first 18 holes of the final of the New Zealand ladies aiiiateur goif championship at Wiohiki this morning, when she met Miss S. Tolhurst, Australia. EEscellent conditions prevailed for ths matehi, whicli is over 36 holes, the fourways being fast and the greens in splendid order. The only cause for complaint was a stiff breeze, which was rather tricky and disconcerting at times to the contestants. Mrs. Hollis went out in 40 as against Miss Tolhurst's 42, and though after malring the tum the Australian succeeded at one' stage to square the honours, Mrs. Hollis finished very strongly, her opponent revealing a weakness at this stage in her approach shots.
