Tlie Kangaroos (Australian Rugby League team) defeated Yorkshire by eight points to four aftev Yorkshire liad led four-nil at half-time. The attondance was 7,570. Tbe game was played in raw, cold weather. The Australians tbrew tlre ball ahout nicely jn the early stages, and kept attacking. Lockwood, at his third attempt, landed a penalty goal for Yorkshire after 25 minutes' play, and just before half-time the same player kicked another penalty goal for Yorkshire. Six ininutes after the resumption, Williams kicked a goal for Australia. The Kangaroos continued to invad Yorkshire's territory, and Lewis,' after a hard run, scored. Williams failed to convert. Norman, who was largely responsible for this try, again broke through just before tbe final bell and enabled : Itobinson to score. Williams again failed to convert.
