RECORD FLIGHT
South Atlantic Crossing (Received 6, 1.30 p.m.) PARIS, Oct. 5. Piloted by ' Captain Paul Codos, tho Air Franee four-engined Farman landplane established a record west to east South Atlantic crossing from Natal to Dakar in 14 hours 27 minutes. The previous best crossing was also made by a Farman machine in 14 hours 40 minutes. Captain Codos carried 527 lbs. of mail and averaged 134 miles an hour against head winds.
