"VISIT TO RADIO LAND"

Enjoyable Concert Given at Otane About 30 members of the children's circle of radio station 2ZL, Hastings, visited Otane last evening to present "A visit to Radio Land," a variety show that aroused the utmost enthusiasni of tho largest audience ever assembled in the Town Hall. The children were invited by the Wnihen's Institute to give the presentation, and under the directjon of Uncle Ed and Aunt Gwen, the performers provided a wonderful show, thero beiiig plenty of variety aud gaiety about Ihe programme, which was staged without tho slighest delav. Eketches, songs, ballets and solo items were featured, with the performers iu brightly-colour-ed aud artistic costumes. The hall was packed, there being not even standing room available long before the schedule hour of commencement, and intending patrons had to borrow ehairs and seating accommodation from uearby friends to place in the supper room, which was also packed. The concert was staged on behalf of the Woinen's Institute, to whom the whole of the proceeds go. and at the conclusion of tbe programme, the president, Mrs Tod, returned thanks and presented each child with a buttonhole posy and Aunt Gwen with a bouquet. Supper was then provided for the visitittg performers.
