Napier Branch Meeting At a meeting of the Napier Branch Committee of the Hawke's Bay War Relief Association tbere were present Messrs G. S. V. Wenley (chairman), G. B. Menzies, T. H. Ringland, and the secretary. Leave of absence was granted Dr. F. H. Bernau and Mr H. Hteele. A stateinent of payments and receipts for September, 1937, was placed before the meeting, showing the transactious for the month as follows: — _ Grants to soldiera' (43) £70 19/1; grants to dependants (2) £5 10/-; loans to soldiera (7) £37 14/3; payments on account of other societies (18) £52 16/10; payments on account of Napier Holdiers' Club (2) £14 14/6; total, £181 14/8. Loans refunded by soldiera (21) £102 12/9; refunds on account of other societies (S) £107 10/1; rent, £3 10/-; total £213 12/9.
