STILES — CLARK Wearing a graceful gown of pearl satiu and lace, Phyllis Doreen, daughter of Mr aud Mrs W. Clark, Porangahau road, Waipukurau, was a eharming bride at her marriage to George Eiic, only son of Mr and Mrs G. H. Stiles, of Palmerston North. The wedding wa3 solemnised at St. Mary's Church, Waipukurau, this aftornoon by the Rev. Canon E. D. Iiice. Mrs W. G." Bryco presided at the oigan and played tho wedding marck and the hymns "Thef* Yoice that Breathed O'er Eden" and "Lead Us, Heavenly Fatlier Lead Ua." The altar was decorated With bowls of delicate spring flowers. - The bride, who entered the church with her fatlier, wore an exquisite gown of rich pearl satiu, which shimmered through her redingoto coat of stiffened wool lace. The sleeveless frock fell in full soft folds to the ground. the front of the low-cut corsage being prettily ruched. The redingote coat, which completely covered her frock, had a very fully stiffly flared skirt, the stitched waistbelt being finished in front with a handsome big square buekle of brilliants, a true-lovers' knot of brilliants fastening the high neckline. The sleeves, made with a high shoulder effect, wero tight-fitting to the wnste and her lovely tulle veil, which was edged with lace, was arranged with a cluster of orange buds. tilxe wore white brocaded shoes and carried a half-moon-skapeu Douquet of lili.es. Thc only maid was Miss Hazel Moorhead, vuii wore a lovely gown of white broderie angiaise mounced on white silk. The gown was simply fashioned with a flared skirt, the matcliing bolero having short puffe-d sleeves. Tiny buttons trimmed the back of the frocii, and a big posy of shaded pink and lemon hand-made roses with green leaves( arranged on the front ueckiine, gave a toucfl of colour. Green shoes wero worn and a picture hat in green crinoline straw wreathed in green flowers. She carried a basket arranged with flowers to tone with her ensemble. The duties of best man were carried 6ut by Mr J. D. Erwin. Following" the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride 's parents, only relatives being present. • Mr and Mrs Clark received the gueste, assisted by Mr and Mrs Stiles. Mrs Clark wore a gown of floral georgette, the background of ink-blue being dotted with sprays of red and inauve flowers. The corsage was ruched at the fleck and the sleeves were very full. She wore a long navy wool lace coat and a smart navy hat trimmed with a cluster of shaded flowers to tone with her gown and carried a bouquet of anemones and eweet-peas. Mrs Stiles wore a smart suit in spring tweed, with a hat land accessories to match. WheD the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon, a motor tour in the north, the bride travelled in a chocolate-broAvn wool marocain suit, the pointed waistcoat being trimmed with big fawn buttons. Over this was worn a smart fawn and brown plaid velour co^at having a high storm collar and wide suede belt. She wore a pull-on hat gf brown stitched lacquered taffeta, with a scarlet feathered mount, brown suede shoes and gloves.
