Eesults of the quarter-finals are as follow: — Mrs G. Hollis (Hawera) beat Miss 12. M. Hutton (Australia) 2 and 1. Miss J. Betts (Nelson) beat Miss J. Horwell (Timaru) 3 and 2. Mnss S. Tolhurst (Australia) beat Mrs D. Wilson (Hutt) 4 and 3. Miss P. Helean (Hastings) beat Mrs 8, Morpeth at the 19th.
