LEAGUE RESOLUTIONS

Freer International Trade REFORM OF COVENANT
(Reeeived 5, 12.40 p.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 4. A plenary session of the League of Nations Assembly adopted a series of rcsolutions on economic and linaucial matters. In these, approval was given to c«>ntinuation of tlie efforts now being made to achieve freer international trade. At the request of Mr S. M. Bruee, the AustraJian delegate, the Assembly decided to Study means of improving the standard of living. The Assembly also approved a resolntion provjding for consultation of noninembers of the League in connection with the inquiry into Ihe reform of the League Covenant. The League donated £100,000 for the lighting of epidemics in China. 1
