Guards Compelled to Fire at Fscapees TEXAS OUTBREAK

(Reeeived 5, 9.35 a.m.) HUNTSV1LLE (Texas), Oct. 4. The epidemic of prison outbreaks is continuingi. Guards at the Eastham Penetentiaiy kilied two convicts and wounded another two and frustrated an utteinpfc at escape by 27 of the inost vicious inmatcs. Two prisoners broke from their quarters by means of an improvised key, overpowered a guard, took his pistol aud compelled another guard to surrender keys with which they released their conixiauions, who rushed out into the yard. A guard fU'ed his rille from the tower, killing two and wounding one. Auother guard wounded a fourth. whereupon the remainder surrendered.
