KEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Support for an investigation by tlie Government of a Wanganui proposal for tbe deviation of the WellingtonNetv Plymouth raihvay lino between Turakina and Maxwell was accorded in Taranaki when a deputation from the Wanganui Development Leagno toured tie province and met Chambers of ■ Commerce at Hawera, Stratford and Kew Plymouth. A deviatiom along the flat coastal land would result in a saving of more than an hour in time, and would elirninate 20 level crossings, and take the Iine fhrough Wanganui itself. The additional cost is estimated afc £261,000, with a saving in haulage costs of £35,000 yearly. 'Ihe hope was expressed tliat the Minister would niake an aerial inspeclion of ihe prbposed route,
