Tfie film has been skilfully built around Paderewski and his music. It opens with the pianist giviug a recital iu a crowded concert hall. Attention is drawn tp a happy young couple and their baby daughter. Later in his club Paderewski tells the story of their romance, how it was nearly broken and hpw his music brought them together again. Eric is steward on tfid remOte, pxcturesque Swedish estate of the Baronesa Lindenborg, who encourages his affections for her beautiful granddaughter, Ingrid. A plane makes a forced landing on the estate, bringing with it Paderewski, his secretary, and an elegant young man, Mario. Mario completely fascinates Ingrid, and persuades her to elope with him. But at the eleventh hour Mario is unmasked and Ingrid bitterly realises what a l'ool shp has been. She is too ashamcd to confront Eric, but the magic of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," as played by Padereswki shows the way to love. Charles Farrell and Marie Tempest have important roles in tho pic- ■ ture. Also on the programme is the March of Timo (No. 7) and a Walt Disney all-colour classic.
