Chiidren's Eyes Affected . at Waipukurau School

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. "The glare from the concrete is affecting the eyes, not only of the children, but of tho teachers as well," reported the headmaster of the Waipukurau School, Mr V. Parsons, at the monthly meeting of tho school committeo. "Soniething should be dono before the summer sets iu," he added. The committeo deeided to investigate the pasitiori and to see if anything could be done to reduce tho glare. A circular from the Education Department pointed out that there was an amount of £49 15/7 available for expenditure before March 1, 1938. — -It was deeided that the works committee should investigate possible uses for the money, and report to the next meeting. Messrs Renner and Blair were appointed as visiting committee for the ensuing month. Accounts totalling £11 10/10 were, passed for payment.
