Threatened Boycott by N.Z. Watersiders ACTION NOT YET DECIDED

WELLINGTON, This Day. The threatened boycott by 'watersiders of Japanese goods and shipping was the subjeet of a Cable received by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce at Sydney, representing the whole of Japanese interests in New Zealand and Australia. The Japanese Chamber appeals to the Wellington Chamber to use its influenee to prevent any sueh action being taken, the cable stating that rasli aetions of this kind no doubt will affect mutual interests and friendly relations between Japan and New Zealand. The reports of Japanese bombing are chafacterised as false propaganda of the Chinese Government and. the fabrication of Chinese correspondnets. -An appropriate committee of the Wellington Ohamber is dealing with the matter. The national executive of the Federation of Labour did not sit to-day. As a consequence, the executive has not yet determined its attitude to the requests received by it to consider the question of placing a 100 per cent. boycott On Japanese goods and shipping. The secretary states that the executive will be sittiug practieally all day to-morroW and that the boycott question Will be among the matters discussed.
