WELLINGTON, This Day The Chinese consul lias received tlie following eablegram from Nanking: — "The Chinese forces continue their successfal advance north of Praghsinkwan along the highway leading to Lingchiu and Kwaiigling, north-eastward Severai important points northward Of Pinghsink wan have been recaptured Since the capture of Yungnnehiao, on the Lotien-Liuhang front. the Japanese attempts to dielodge the Chinese from their positions there have failed. Other aeetors on the Shanghai front are qoiet. "Twelve Japanese planes rcdded Nanking at noon on Septeinber 28 and | i ' b. '
dropped soine 50 bombs, but the daxnage was slight. "Fifteen Japanese bombers visited Wuhu at 1 p.m and rained no fewer thau 100 bambs, setting fire to many houses. The casualties' are not yet known. "Beginning their fourth big push, the Japanese made six assaults yesterday but were repulsed despite heavy shell ings and bombing. Twenty Japanese planes bombed Chapei."
