Hastings H.S.O.B. Will Have Strong Senior XI ANNUAL MEETING HELD There was a splendid attendance of members for the annual general meeting of the Hastings H.S.O.B. Cricket Club last evening, «Mr N. B. Fippard presiding. The keen enthusiasm shown augurs well for the coming season. which promises to be a more successful one than the last, as the club will field a stronger senior team as well as an eleven in the junior division. The annual report and balance-sheet, revealing a credit balance of £11 16/-, were read and adopted without discussion. The election of officers resulted as follows: — Patron^ Mr W. A. G. Penlington; president, Mr H. G. Apsey; vicepresidents, Messrs A. E. O'Meara, H. Brenton-Eule, E. J. W. Hallett, A. D. Boss, H, de Denne, J. Wright, F. C. Eush-Munro, E. V. Simpson, C. M Hendry, S. I. Jones, E. A. Coxon, J. Mills and K. Mills; club captain, Mr E. S. Craven; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr T. Eosenberg; delegates to Hastings Cricket Sub-Aseociation. Mossrs K. S. Northe, T, E. Sherratt and N. B. Fippard; hou. auditor, Mr N. B. Fippard; selection committee, Messrs E. S. Oravcn, T. 11, Sherratt and P. Tritt. A team is to be entered in each of tho senior and junior grade competitions, and the subscriptions were fixed at 30/- for seniors over 21 years of ago, 20/- for seniors under 21 yeare, and 15/- for juniors, in addition to .the woekly ground fee of 1/- a week. The following new members were ourolled: F. S. Northe, lt. Natusch, lt. Turnbull, L. Mitchell. J. Maroney, A. Hawkins, E. Goodall, H. Watkiusou, aud li. Drinkrow. ■ Support is to be aecorded the proposal to stage matehes on Labour Day, and delegates to the sub-association annual meeting were instructed to urge an early starting of the season and also the playing on the Saturday prior to Labour Day. Tho sub-association is to be nrgcd to improve the practice nets and pitches, and failing tliis being done Messrs . Craven and Sherratt wero appointea a sub-committee to eonsider the question cf purchasing a club iiet and arrange for special practice wickets for the club, The first club practice is to he held on October 9 if arrangements can bo made for a pitch. '
