WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The Waipukurau Homing Pigeon Club opened its old-bird racing programme with a race from Petone — an airline distanco of 121 miles. Mr J. L. Bolton, of the Petone Pigeon Club, liberated the birds, 45 in number, at 8 a.m. in fine weather, with a northeast wind.
