ORMONDVILLE, Last Night. An extra euchre party in aid of the deutal clinic funds was he.Jd in tbo schooi on Saturday night, having been occasioned by a cliallcnge from Makotuku players. There was a very good attendance, with excitiug play. In tho challenge niatch Ormondville proved triumphant with I33A games, Makotuku scoring I21J, many close games having bcen contested. In addition to tho match thcre were trophies to bo won, tho ladies' falling to Mrs Mortensen, of Norsewood, with 13$ games, and that for the men to Mr "Bob" Iattle, of Makotuku, with 13 games. Mrs Harry Howes and Mr -F. Mortensen, of Norsewood, with 5 and 4$ games respectively, carried off the consolation prizes. At the close of p]ay the usual delicious supper' was enjoyed, after whieli Mr Palmer, of klakotuku, thanke-d the Ioca.1 players for their hospitality, and hoped a return match could soon be arranged to take place at Makotuku. Tliis was the iiual euchre party in aid of the dental clinic funds. At the euchre party in aid of the school funds, held on Saturday night. there was a very good attendance, the iargest this season. Keen intercst was taken in the play, it being the final evening for the points prizes. Mrs Alcx Baines won the ladies' points prize, Mr L. Pedersen proving vietorious amongst the inen. These two prizes will be presented at a special final euchre party to take place on Saturday evening next. The evening 's prizes were won by Mrs Young, with the good score of nino out of 12 games, and Mr J. Smitli, with -..eiglit games. The prizes, supplied by the School Committee, were a pretty cake-plate and a pair of liand-knitted socks. The serving of supper terminatcd a very siiccessful evening.
