AUCKLAND, Last Night. The conviction that the existing accommodation. for singtle men at the Auckland Police Station was completely inadequato was expressed by the Miuister in Charge of the Police Department, the Hon. P. Frascr, after making a tour of inspection with the Comm'issioner of Police. "The question of the extension of tho accommodation and other facilities at the station has ah'eady received considoration, and plans in this direction xvill be pushed forward as rapidly -as^ possible," said the Minister. Although Mr Fraser was unablo to , say when 'the improvemonts would be started, he said he anticipated that •they would take the foxm of re-xnodel-ling and considerable additions to the present building. No other sibe was in niind.
