(JHRISTUHURCH, Saturday. A deficiency of £20,257 12/7 was shown n the revenue account for the year ended March 31 last presented to the Christchurch Tramway Board this morning. Last year'e deficiency was £15,612. Gross earnings totalled £199,456 19/6, compared with £188,796 in 1935-36. An increase of £11,024 was shown in the operating expenscs, which .this year totalled £147,567 5/9, compared with £136,440. The total not earnings were £51,880 5/9, compared with £52,356 last year. Interest eharges, ronewals and payment to sinking fund this year amouulod to £72,137 18/4, an increase of £14,169 on 1930.
