Fighting and singing, laugking and loving, tempestuousiy living their own lives in their shanty-boat colony in the lower Mississippi River, tho primitive and picturesque characters in the Twentieth Century-Fox drama with music, "Banjo On My Knee," whichi comes to the Waipukurau Theatre to-niorrow (Tuesday) .at 8 enact a story that provides distinctly different screen ' fare, which will be enthusiastically approved by every type of audience. Distinguislied by its fine production qufllities, a new trend in song' and melody, this picture which combines the locale of "Tobaeco Eoad" with the atmosphero of "Steamboat 'Eound the Bend," has also been ideally cast with Barbara Stanwyck and Joel MeCrae co-starred in tHe leading roies, and with the very rmportant supporting characterisations entrusted to such taiented and popular players as Helen Westley, Buddy Ehsen, Walter Brennan, Walter Catlett. Anthony Alartin and Katherino ' de Mille. On the same programme will be shown tlie Spriiigboks v. Otagu footbaU match.
