' Waipawa Branch Meeting

WAIPAWA, Last Night. Ml's F. R. Furmiuger presided at j the nionthly meeting of the Waipawa branch oi the Plunket Society, and there were also present; Mesdames Preston, Strang, Bryant. D. H. Edwards, F. W. Edwards, Towors, Ma---son, Eagle, Pepperell and the eecretary, Mrs Spicer. Before the business of the meeting was dealt with a reaolution of sympathy with the relatives of the late Miss A. Pattrick, formerly Director of Plunket Nursing was adopted. Mrs Furminger also( paid tribute to ihe services renderecl to the society by the late Mr W. J. Pallot. The report of the nurse was read and adopted. The secretary reported that Nurse Tait coinmenced hei' dhties on September 1. It was decided to hold a shop in aid of the branch funds on Tuesday, Octooer 12. In appieciation of her services as treasurer over a period of years the committee reoently pfesented Miss F. Pellow with a clock, and a ietter of thanks for the gift was read. l>onations and s'ubsoriptions were acknuwledged as follows Mrs L. H. Mciiardy £1; Mr and Mrs Eagle, Mr D. BUtier, Mrs David Williams, Mrs j. Gorekie, 10/- eaeh; Mesdames . Thoinsoh, Gfabam, Grihin, Gamby. W. Miller, Blake, 5/- each.
