" 1 ) ■ ti King Farouk Refuses Recause of Cost (Received 25, 8.45 a.m.) CAIRO, Sept. 23. King Farouk has refused the offer of a crown for whieh public subscriptions have already been opened. He suggests that the offer be postponed until the eeonomic situation improves. The intention is to purchase a gold jewelled crown to be offered to the king on his birthday. There will Ke no coronation beeause it is contrary to Moslem. traditions.
