HAVELOCK GOLF CLUB HOLDS JOLLY DANCE

The annual dance arranged by the members of the Havelock North Golf Club which was held in the Town Board Hall, Havelock North, last evening was very bright and jolly and was enjoyed by rnany dancers. ' The eommittee responsible for the arrangements worked hard to maxe the dance so successful, the members of the eommittee being Mrs H. R. von Dadelszen, Mrs Antony Reeve, and the Misses Rosemary Miller, Edna Rainey, Norma Stewart, Enid Cotterill and the honorary secretary, Miss Margaxet Glenny. Excellent dance music was played by Phil Walden's orchestra. The.end of the hall was curtained off to form a supper-room and here a delicious supper was arranged in buffet style. The tables were decorated with bright bowls of iceland poppies and spring bulbs, these having been arranged by Miss Norma Stewart. Among those present were: — Mrs H. R. von Dadelszen, deepest'^ violet matelasse with a cluster of' flowers at the neck and a violet velvet cape. Mrs Antony Reeve, marina green cloque with velvet sash and epaulettes shirred on the shoulders. Miss Margaret Glenny, black moire taffeta trimmed with narrow ruched frills. Miss Norma Stewart; delphinium blue matelasse with draped corsage and a scarlet flower at the neck. Miss Rosemary Miller, Mary blue chiffon with shaded pink flowers at the high gathered neckline. Mrs Stephen Weymouth, vivid blue matelasse with a flat bow aeross the corsage in front and a brilliant clasp. Mrs J. Leggat, palest-pinlc flowered taffeta with short sleeves gathered at the shoulders. Mrs Jim Glenny, honey blondo panne velvet with a spray of pink roses at the waist. Mrs W. Edwards, ivory brocaded satin with square neckline and n green corsage flower. Mrs Roy Gilbertson, deep blue silver threaded cotelle, the neckline edged With a fine plait. Mrs H. Gill, mustard cloque, the square neckline edged with tiny purple violets and a silver girdle. Mrs R. Nimon, Mary blue cotMle with a pleated eollar outlining the neck. Mrs Allan Crawford, ruby red crushed velvet with sliirred sleeves and collar effcet lined with gold. Mrs Heirtenburgt white cloque flowered in pastel sliades with a cluster of pink and blue flowers at the neck. Miss Noeline Harding, lemon taffeta patterned in green and flaine and kaviug a slashed corsage .at the back. Miss Gertrude Wynyard, white patterned georgette with long flai'ed pepluin at the back. Miss Tui Morrin, black chantilly lace with ruched taffeta frills on the skirt and cape sleeves. , Miss 0. Lowe, gold shimmer satin with long hanging scarves lined with violet. Miss Helen Steele, vivid blue flowered chiffon with softly draped corsage forming a sleeve effeet. Miss Sonia VVatson, brown stiffened net -worn over gold taifeta and trimmed with pin-tucks. Miss Mary Oampbell, white chiffon patterned in cherry, and silvery grey with a white velvet sash. Miss June Johnson, magnolia satin with shirred corsage worn with a cape of white fur. Miss Betty Gilray, petal pink needlerun lace with a coatee of white taffeta having stitched revers. Mise Hiraani Scott, gold flowered brocade with draped sleeves, and corsage posy of deep purple flowers. Miss Lucy Cassin> ocean blue georgette with silver corsage spray and a white velvet coatee. Miss Betty Johnson, midnight blue matelasse with finely plaited shoulder straps and natural spray. Miss June Mason, ■ lemon taffeta flowured with clusters of red and green flowers and a green sash, Miss Nancy Crawford, gown of gold satin royale with a spray of violet flowers at the neck. - Miss Ailie Baird, deep primrose flowered satin with. long hanging scarves from the shoulders. Miss Alix Rochfdrt, black flowered chiffon worn with a " sash of black velvet. Miss Margaret Carridous, white Swiss muslin flowered with blue and having a deep blue velvet sash. I Miss Pat Helean, limo green flowered ; chiffon with a cowled neckline. ,\ Miss Lassie Baird, i.vory matelasse flowered with hyaeinth blue and pink j and a white fur cape. ] Miss Jean Ebbett, pale green flowered taft'eta with deep green outlining the neck and edging the hem. • Miss Hilda Mawson,. flower-pink needlerun lace with flared epaulettes ! and cowled neckline. Miss Marie Heimah, deepest -apricot l self-spotted matelasse with flowers in the same shade across the neck in front. Miss Pat von Dadelszen, black and white patterned chiffon with a wide red v'elvet belt. Miss Mary van Aseh, gcranium red : georgette with cape sleeves and .natural I shoulder spray. j Miss Peggy Agnew, green flowered i georgette with a very deep green taffeta sash and brilliant corsage clasp. Miss Ida Corabs, geranium red georgette having a diamante clasp at the neck and a green velvet cape. Miss Olive Oook, coronation red georgette with white marguerites at each side of the neck.
