An early indication as to the decision arrived at in regard to the construction of a new railway station at Hastings was sought by Mr E. L. Cullen (Government, Hawke's Bay) in notice of question to the Minister of Railways, Hon. P. G. Sullivan, in the House of Representatives yesterday.# "A deputation from the mayor and members of the borough council aird business men of Hastings waited on the Minister of Railways when he was in Hastings some days ago," said Mr Culletn, "and represented the danger whjch existed at the crossings, and pointed out the urgency of opening for traffic the two streets that are now biqcked by the railway station."
