The doctor needs no introduction to Hawke's Bay fruitgrowers, and his addresses are always extremely interestilig and instructive, and attracfc full atteiidanees of members, Tehders for tho erection of a roadman's cottage 011 the Napier-Gisbonie State highway, closing with the seeretary, Public VVorks Tendors Board, ■Wellington, will be received up till 4 p.m. oii Tuesday, October 12, PJans may be seen at tlie P.W.D. office, Napier and Wairoa. • The Twyford baclielors and spinsters "au revoir" ball will be held in the Fernhill Hall on Thursday. Les Henry's orchestra will be in attendance. A general meeting of the Hawke's Bay branch of the Natidnal Beekeepers' Association will be held at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday in the Chaniber of Commerce rooms, Hastings. Tenders wil] be received by the seeretary of the Education Board, Napier, up till noon on Tuesday, October 5, for the erection of a teacfier's residence at the Ormondville School. Plans and specitications may bo seen at the Education Ollicc, Nalder, or at Messrs yuigley and AUen, Dannerirke. ,
