CRASH FEARED

Sir Hubert WilkinsV Plane (Received 22, 8.45 a.m.) EDjMONTON, Sept. 20. The possibility that 48ir Hubert VVilkins had crashed uear Aklavik was leared by Capiain W. It. JMay, Canadian Airways Maekeiizie district superintendent, following an Aklavik radiogram from Pilot Arthur Itankin stating that Sir Hubert's radio fuded out immediately after a message stating that he was landing at the Maokenzie delta on the way to Aklavik. The radio could bo worked either from the ground or the air. According to a New York message, the Explorers' Club has announced that a message from Canadinn Airways stated that Sir Ffnbert's party is safe at a small lake near Aklavik.
