(By Telegrapb-
WELLINGTON, Last Night. The visit of the Springboks has been almost as valuable to the New Zealand Jtailway Department as a share in a gold mine. An enormous number of passengers has already been carried to the vfcrious matches against provincial teams and to the two Tests played so far. Although he is not yet able to indicate the amount of Tevenue the toui of the South African team has brought . to his department, the Minister oi Eailwaya (Hon. D. G. Sullivan) erpects records to be broken. He said to-day that arrangements for the third and f.nal Test at Auckland eclipsed anything that had been done' before. It was expected that bookings for special and ordinary trains Tunning to Auckland would create a record for any sporting event in New Zealand. The Railways Department has arranged for 14 long-distance special expre^s trains to travel to Auckland from various parts of the North Island for the match on Saturday. These include five trains with an aggregate of 57 carriages, which will run from Wellington, and which are almost fully booked. Other special traius will run from Palmerston North, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Ohakune, Opua, Whangarei, Taneatua, Rotorua and Hamilton. It is estimated that 10,000 people will travel to Auckland by train to witness the match.
