WHITE AND GOLD WAIPAWA WEDDING

. CRAWLEY— PEDERSEN A white and gold wedding of considerable interest took. place at Tikokino Cliurch on September II, the contracting parties being Nancy Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs M. Pedereen, of Tikokino,, to Laurence Arthur, eecond son of Mr and Mrs L. A. Crawley, of Otane. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked winsome in her long frock of white and silver, cut low at the neek and with short sleeves. A white veil was worn over the face and hanging to the ground at the baek, being held in £lace by a wreath of orange blossom. She wore long white gloves and white shoes and carried a bouquet of golden poppies and white li6B.th.6r* Tho bridesmaids, Miss Jill Pedersen and Miss Shirley Crawley, were f rocked alike in long golden eatin, cut with square neek, pulf sleeves, -golden shoes and long mittens. On their heads they wore halos of tiny yellow roses and carried bouquets of yellow and pale blue flowers. Mr Jack Bosley carried out the duties og best man. The ehurch was beautifully decorated with gold and white flowers for the ceremony, which was carried out by the liev. "W. T. Drake, Mrs Drake presiding at the organ. Later tne guests were entertained by the bride's ijarents at the hall, where the tables were laden with good things, among which was a beautifully iced three-tier wedding cake. Mrs Pedersen wore a figured red ensPmble hat and shoes to tone, and carried a bouquet of brown and white flowers. The bridegroom's mother was dressed in pale grey with hat and shoes to tone, and her bouquet was of bronze and blue. The Omakere Mounted Eifles journeyed to Tikokino and formcd a guard of honour at the church for their sergeant and his wife. The chief toasts at the reception wero "The Bride and Grooin," "The Arrny" and "The King." The bride's going-away dress was a suit of tobacco brown, with pink blouse, hat and shoes to match, Many good wishes were showered on the happy couplc, whose future home will be at Tetoki. The bride is a grand-daughter of the late Mr Sweetapple, of Awatoto,' and the bridegroom a grandson of the late Mr U. Crawley.
