CARD EVENINGS
There was a ®ood attendanee of card enthusiasts at tho weekly card tournament held in the Makotuku Publio llall. In the women's sectinn iM ra MoxtenSen, of Norsewood, was tlie successful winner, Mrs Carruthers, of Makotuku, gaining secoul place. For the men's prize Mr L. Glsen anrl Mr Frelricksen, both of Norsewood, tied, and in tbe pluy-olf the forruer won. The weekly euclire party lield in tbe Ormondville Sebool on Saturda/ evening, was well attended. In tbe women's section, Mrs Morgan, of . Makotuku, annexed the prize, while Mr A. ' Hutcbesen was suecessful in winning tbe men's prize. Points prizes were ! won by Mrs H. Howes ahd Mr Hutch- 1 esen. An appetising home-inade supper , was dispensed by tbe ladies. 1
