Gift to Pukeora.
Matron A. O, Ingles, O.B.E., acknowledges with thanks a gift of 5/- from Mrs. H. A. De Laeey, of Feilding, and formerly of Waipukurau, towards the cost of an indoor bowling outfit for the Pukeora Sanatorium. This is the first j tangible published result of the appeal addressed recently through the newspapers of the province, but already the proposal has had sympathetie attention from one of the Friendly Society -a Waipukurau Workman Inlured. A slight mishap occurred yesterday morning to a workman empjjoyed on the construction of the new Waipawa Railway Bridge, Mr P. E. Pedersen. A pin in the wihcli worked loose and fell on his liead hiflicting a severe cut. He was taken to the District Hospital where the injury was attended tos ,
