LATE DR. ADA PATERSON

H.B. Education Board's Tribute Members of the Hawke's Bay Education Board stood in silence tliis morning in passing a vote o'f condolence witli the relatives of the Iate Dr Ada Paterson, Direetor of the School Hygiene Division qf the Health Depai-tment, who died recently. Dr Paterson was well-known for her work for the health of children. "It was really the welfare of children that she made her life work," said the chairman, Mr G. A. Maddison, "and all welfare organisations will deeply regret her death. In the Health, Oamp movement she took an especial interest. Her Avise and sympathetic handling of many problems earned her the esteem of many generations of school children and their parents, as Avell as the confidence of the educational authorities."
