REIGN OF TERROR AT GIJON
(Received 16, 12.40 p.m.) ST. JEAN DE LUZ, Sept. 15. The insurgents claim to have eaptured a driftcr in which Socialists and Comniunists were fleeing from the reign of terror established at Gijon by the dictator, Bellamino Thomas. The captives state dthat Asturias had been declared an independent State. and that the loyalists' military chiefs had been sentenced. Remonstrances sent by radio from Valencia had suved the life of ihe Soviet consul.
