China's Protest at Japanese Aggression PARHTION OF PALESTINE
(Received 16, 12.45 p.m.) KUGllY, Sept. 15. The Aga Khan presided over a meeting of the League of Nations Assembly this morning. The Iran Foreign Minister referre.d to the frien.dly arrangementa his country had reached with neighbouring countries aud said that these gave proof that, despite setbacks and disillusions, tho principles of tho Covenant remained the only ones on which efforts for world peace and prosperity could be bnssdt The Chinese delegate, Dr. Wellington Koo, drew attention to the SinoJapanese confliet, stating that tho Chinese Government had formally invoked articles 11 and 17 of tho Covenant. The Palestine Committee of tho Council of the League has been instructed to preparo a draft resolution which will give tho British Government authorily to proceed to work out (letails of tho schcmo ol! partition for 1'aleslitio witlv tho co-operatiou, if possible, of Jcws and Arabs. 4
